The Special Olympics of North Macedonia proudly announces its participation in the upcoming Special Olympics World Winter Games – Turin 2025, which will take place from March 7 to 16, 2025 in the Piedmont region, Italy. Our delegation, composed of talented athletes, coaches, and officials, will represent North Macedonia at this major sporting event that will gather over 1,500 athletes from 102 countries around the world.
At this global sporting event, our athletes will compete in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and sports dance, demonstrating their talent, dedication, and sportsmanship. The delegation will be led by Dragan Karadzovski as the head of the delegation, Prof. Jovan Jovanovski as the head coach for alpine skiing, Prof. Ermend Miftari as the assistant coach for alpine skiing, Prof. Ilija Klincharov as the head coach for cross-country skiing, and Prof. Katarina Jolakoska as the head coach for sports dance. The athletes representing our country are:
Fatmire Bajramoska – cross-country skiing
Alban Bajramoski – cross-country skiing
Ilina Georgieva – sports dance
Stefan Trpkovski – sports dance
Matej Alarov – alpine skiing
Sebaat Ajvazi – alpine skiing
As part of the Games, the delegation of the Special Olympics of North Macedonia will also be part of the Global Youth Leadership Summit, the “Healthy Athletes” program, and other inclusive initiatives, promoting the importance of sport as a means of social inclusion.
Under the motto “Allow me to win, but if I cannot, allow me to be brave in the attempt”, our athletes will do their best to represent the country in the best light and show that sports are for everyone.
With this participation, the Special Olympics of North Macedonia continues to fulfill its mission of creating an inclusive society in which individuals with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to reach their full potential through sport.
