In the sports complex "MTP" in Skopje, today was held an Open Day of the Special Olympics North Macedonia (SO NM). The attendees were greeted by the National Director of SO NM, Dragan Karadzovski, and speeches were made by Monika Boskovska, President of the Special Olympics North Macedonia, and the Minister of Sports, Borko Ristovski.
The president of SO NM thanked their partners "MTP" for their support in the form of free training for the athletes.
"I personally believe that around us we are surrounded by like-minded people and supporters of our mission, as exemplified by the team at "MTP" who extended a helping hand, providing our athletes with free training. In this regard, I want to call for more active involvement from all socially responsible entities in expressing support for our work and the athletes in practice. At the same time, I invite all well-meaning people to get involved in fostering a more inclusive environment, step by step, starting from their surroundings, as a volunteer for the Special Olympics or as a sponsor of one of our activities. I also encourage all families who have a member with an intellectual disability to join us in advocating for inclusion, overcoming daily challenges, promoting understanding, and building a more inclusive society. Sports has the power to positively affect people's lives, and together, through sports, we can build a society in which everyone is included, accepted, respected, and valued for who they are." - stated Monika Boskovska, President of the Special Olympics North Macedonia.
