Special Olympics North Macedonia and the Basketball Federation of Macedonia call for inclusion and equal opportunities for all
Skopje, 27.11.2025 - Special Olympics North Macedonia and Basketball Federation of Macedonia are organizing the 22nd edition of European Basketball Week. On this occasion, on November 29, 2025 (Saturday), starting at 9 a.m. with participant registration and official start at 10 a.m., in the large hall of the Sports and Recreation Center "Kale", an event will be held that will promote inclusion, fairness, and equal opportunities for all through basketball.
As part of the event, recreational basketball games will take place where individuals with intellectual disabilities will participate alongside their partners in Unified teams. Additionally, representatives of Special Olympics North Macedonia and Basketball Federation of Macedonia will address the present audience.
The event is held with the support of the United Nations Population Fund – UNFPA, “Macedonian Telecom” AD, “NLB Bank” AD Skopje, and “Lions Alfa Club” Skopje.
By actively participating in the European Week of Basketball, alongside FIBA and the Basketball Champions League, Special Olympics North Macedonia sends a strong message of respect and inclusion. We invite all those who are able to join this event and contribute to greater inclusion – on the court and beyond.
